The singer announced the development on his official Facebook page, describing the recognition as an opportunity to contribute to the global music industry through the organization behind the prestigious GRAMMY Awards.

The Recording Academy is the global body behind the GRAMMY Awards. It brings together singers, songwriters, producers, engineers and other music professionals committed to advancing the music industry.

Beyond presenting the GRAMMY Awards, the Academy advocates for creators’ rights, promotes professional development and gives eligible members the opportunity to participate in the GRAMMY Awards voting process.

Expressing his excitement, S.O.N Music described his admission into the Academy as an honour and a privilege to serve alongside music creators from across the world.

“Excited to officially be welcomed into the Recording Academy’s 2026 New Member Class. It’s an honor to be part of a community of music creators and professionals who are helping support, uplift, and advocate for the people who make and shape music.”

The gospel singer said he was grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Academy’s work and help shape conversations that will move the music industry forward.

S.O.N Music joins a distinguished 2026 New Member Class that includes Lola Young, Cash Cobain, Raveena Aurora, EJAE, Sleeping With Sirens, sombr among others.

More than 4,000 music professionals from different genres and countries were welcomed into the Academy, reflecting its commitment to expanding representation across the global music industry.

Signed to Spotlite Nation, the record label founded by renowned gospel singer Moses Bliss, S.O.N Music has continued to gain global recognition through his inspiring gospel ministry.

His latest recognition comes weeks after his hit song, “Darling Jesus” featuring Neeja surpassed 10 million YouTube views, further cementing his growing influence as one of Nigeria’s emerging gospel music exports.
