Senator Simon Bako Lalong, former Governor of Plateau State, has expressed concern over the developing inclination of divided and antagonistic politics in Plateau State, saying that it is causing divisions among communities.
During a Special Thanksgiving Service for Hon. Daniel Asama, Lalong stressed the value of putting the welfare of the populace first, encouraging healthy competition, and providing democratic dividends in governance.
Lalong cited recent misinformation strategies targeting his opinion on the Senate Ranching debate.
He questioned the use of his words to wrongly portray him as anti-ranching, reminding the audience of his past attempts to promote a ranching bill in the Plateau House of Assembly.
He acknowledged the absurdity of facing charges from individuals who had previously opposed Ranching programs.
