Sen. Pam Mwadkwon Dachungyang, The Senator representing the good people of Plateau North Senatorial District, has extended heartfelt sympathies to the victims and families affected by the tragic collapse of a two-story building at Saint Academy in Jos North Local Government Area.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Eric Dung, Sen. Dachungyang described the incident as both tragic and deeply disturbing, particularly as it occurred within a learning environment.
“The collapse of the school building is a profound tragedy, affecting not only the students but the entire community,” Sen. Dachungyang remarked.
He lauded the prompt and proactive efforts of local residents who played a significant role in the search and rescue operations, which were crucial in saving lives. Additionally, the senator commended the swift response from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and other governmental bodies involved in the rescue mission.
“Their quick actions undoubtedly saved many lives,” he noted.
Sen. Dachungyang also extended his prayers to the affected families, asking that God Almighty grant them comfort and the strength to endure their irreparable loss.
“The pain of this incident is immense, and my thoughts and prayers are with all those affected. May they find solace and fortitude in this challenging time,” he concluded.
