Disturbed by the inhuman and heartless destruction of farm crops in his Constituency and other parts of the State, the Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, Dr. Simon Mwadkwon has called on the State Government and the appropriate emergency management agencies at all level to urgently reach out to persons affected by the heinous acts with humanitarian intervention.

Dr. Simon Mwadkwon expressed displeasure over the wicked activities of the merchants of violence who are working tirelessly to cause untold hardship to the people.

According to His Media Aide, Comrade Friday Bako, That The Lawmaker disclosed that the action of the perpetuators if left unchecked and if not nip in the bud urgently is capable of throwing the State into violent crisis.

“Government cardinal duty is the protection of the citizens and their property, it is therefore incumbent on it to live up to such constitutional responsibility to the Citizens”

“Government and security agencies must identify and arrest those perpetuating such callous and wicked activities with the aim of prosecuting them to serve as deterrent to others” he said.

He decried that food crisis is imminent locally and Nationally if nothing is done to stop such destruction of farm crops by those who hate peaceful coexistence, harmonious living and prosperity of the State & Nation at large.

The Lawmaker is therefore appealing to government at all levels through its agencies such as State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide succour to the people whose means of livelihood have been destroyed.
