The Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency Plateau State at the National Assembly, Rep. Simon Mwadkwon Ph.D has taken his appreciation tour to Bum, Danto, Atakar, Sopp and Tahoss Federal Wards in Ganawuri, Bachi and Riyom Districts all in Riyom LGA of Plateau State.

The aim of the tour is to appreciate the people for the mandate given him during the 23rd February, 2019 National Assembly Elections in which he emerged victorious to represent Barkin Ladi & Riyom LGAs.

Rep. Simon Mwadkwon in all the areas visited appreciated the people for the massive supports given him.
He said times for political rhetorics and campaigns are over and he is committed to providing visible and accessible dividends of democracy to all within the Federal Constituency irrespective of tribal, religious and political inclinations.
The Federal Lawmaker thanked them for defying the sun, rain and odd weather to vote for him and protecting his victory.

He said he is already in partnership with a Non Government Organization which is into vocational training and has agreed to train those who have attended Secondary Schools, can read and write and interested graduates who are ready to be given vocational trainings in Poultry, Tiling, POP, fishery, carpentry etc for a year. He said full accommodation and feeding has been concluded. He said names of people with good conduct should be forwarded for the trainings.

The Federal Legislator also urged the community to constitute a committee which should sit and look for projects that are their priority for his attention.

Rep. Simon Mwadkwon promised to carry all along without any form segregation or preferential treatment.

He admonished the people to live in peace, love and harmony with one another saying development cannot be achieved without peace.

Rep. Simon said constructive criticisms and prayers to him are vital.

He thanked the people for believing in him saying he won’t disappoint them.

He urged the youths to apply for the Federal agencies recruitment promising to do everything possible to lobby and assist where necessary.

Rep. Mwadkwon said he will give greater attention to youth empowerment, human capital development, infrastructural development and peace building.

Rep. Mwadkwon and his team were gladly received in all the areas visited.

Those who spoke said his achievements and impacts in terms of rural transformation through infrastructural development in all the polling units and districts are still visible.
They described him as a valuable Performer hence the overwhelming supports given him. The people said they have great confidence in him.

The people said his giant strides in terms of employment and human capacity development is commendable charging him to do more to reduce unemployment.

They charged him to concentrate on peace building among all the ethnic groups in the Federal Constituency.

They promised to give him the much needed supports and prayers for him to excel and succeed.
