The Premier League has announced that four persons have tested positive to Coronavirus after the latest phase of mass testing.

The four new cases were confirmed after 2,131 players and club staff were tested for Coronavirus.

The English top-flight league confirmed this in a statement on its official website on Monday.

The statement read: “The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 7 September and Sunday 13 September, 2,131 players and club staff were tested for Coronavirus.

“Of these, there were four new positive tests.

“Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate for a period of 10 -14 days.”
