Two staff members of Plateau United Football Club were involved in a road accident on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, near the Farin Gada Roundabout in Jos.

The incident occurred shortly after the team’s training session when a trailer reportedly lost its brakes and rammed into their vehicle from the opposite direction. The impact left the vehicle badly damaged.

According to an official statement from the club, both staff members escaped with minor injuries despite the severity of the collision. They were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Medical officials confirmed that the victims sustained only bruises and body pains. After receiving treatment, they were discharged and are now recovering at home.

The management of Plateau United expressed gratitude to God for sparing the lives of their staff and thanked well-wishers for their concern.

In its statement, the club said its thoughts and prayers remain with the affected individuals as they continue their recovery process.

Plateau United also assured supporters that updates on the staff’s health condition will be shared through the club’s official communication channels.
