Plateau lawmaker empowers over 800 constituents in Jos South LGA

A member of the Plateau state House of Assembly, Hon.Fom Dalyop Gwottson on Wednesday empowered over 800 constituents with different materials worth millions of naira.
The beneficiaries, mostly women ,youths and petty traders, were drawn from all the wards of the constituency.
Some of the items distributed aside from cash donation were sewing machines, grinding machines, irrigation pumps , and other valuable items.
Speaking in an interview with Jay FM at the occasion ,Hon Gwottson popularly known as Banga by Nature, said the gesture was in line with his campaign promise to spare no effort in freeing his constituents from abject and dehumanizing conditions of poverty
He also assured the people of qualitative and responsive representation.
In his words ” As legislators,We have a mandate to better the lives of our people .
“This is why we are doing what we are doing.
“My representation is for everyone in the constituency irrespective of party affiliations.
” The empowerment project we have carried out today is in line with my promise to better the lives of members of my constituency .
“So, I will continue to report my stewardship and ensure that we do everything possible to uplift their living conditions and I want to assure you that I will work to attract more democratic dividends to our people ”
Chairman of the occasion and former Commissioner of Finance, Mr Davou Mang and a representative of the state Chairman of PLASMEDA praised the lawmaker for empowering the people of his constituency and called on other legislators to imbibe the exemplary life of Gwottson
They also cautioned the beneficiaries not to sell the materials but to put them into use for the improvement of their present living conditions
Some of the beneficiaries including Mary Dung from Gyel and Moses Mancha from Kuru who were full of appreciation for the empowerment materials prayed God to continue to protect and bless the lawmaker to enable him to do more more
Jay FM reports that some dignitaries who were also on ground to witness the distribution of the empowerment materials included state legislators among who were Hon. Ibrahim Gyendeng, the Minorty leader and member Representing Barkin Ladi, Hon. Timothy Dantong, his counterpart in Riyom, as well as the lawmaker representing Jos North West constituency, Hon Esther Dusu.
PDP Stalwarts like Hon. Davou Mang, Mr Dung Tari, Hon. Emmanuel Dung Solomon (Gibok), amongst other great men and women also graced the occasion.
