The Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Her Excellency, Ngo Josephine Chundung Piyo, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) following her resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Her APC membership card was officially presented to her at her residence in Government House, Rayfield, Jos, marking her formal registration into the ruling party.
The presentation was led by the APC Zonal Secretary for the Northern Senatorial Zone, Mr. Michael Anji, alongside ward and local government party officials.
Officials from Sharubutu Ward and Riyom Local Government Area, as well as key stakeholders and political leaders, were present to witness the event.

Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Governor described political parties as platforms for elections and governance, and called on party members to work together in unity toward shared goals.
She explained that her decision to join the APC, alongside her principal, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, reflects her commitment, loyalty, and renewed determination to serve the people of Plateau State.

Presenting the temporary membership card, Mr. Anji stated that the APC constitution guarantees equal rights and privileges to all members, regardless of when they joined the party.
He urged party members to embrace cooperation and unity to ensure the success of governance at both state and national levels.


Several stakeholders also spoke at the event, including Hon. Moses Dadong, member representing Riyom Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Mafeng Gwallson, Former Executive Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council and Hon. Dan Manjang, former Commissioner for Information.
The development marks a significant moment in Plateau State’s political landscape, as leaders and supporters expressed optimism that the move would strengthen unity and accelerate development across the state.
