Mohamed Salah has been voted Liverpool’s Player of the Month for September.
The Egyptian claims the prize for the second consecutive month after yet another star performance through the month.
He beat Curtis Jones, who came second after also playing a key role for the Reds.
Salah netted six times in five appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they maintained an unbeaten start to the Premier League and Champions League.
“I’m happy as long as the team keep winning,” he said while collecting his prize.
Adding: “I’m trying to help always, to score goals and make the team win games – that’s the most important [thing].”
He further revealed the goal against AC Milan was his favourites in September.
“Maybe I choose Milan. [It’s] the first time I scored against them in the Champions League. Also, we were 2-1 down so it was an important goal to get us back in the game, so I can choose this one,”
Salah will hope to continue helping his side when the Premier League resumes this weekend with a match away at Watford on Saturday.
