– Lautaro Martinez has emerged top transfer target for Barcelona – The Argentine has been tipped as long term replacement for Luis Suarez – The Catalans want to include Arturo Vidal and Nelson Samedo in the deal for the Argentine Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez when the transfer window opens. Reports claim the Catalans are ready to splash a staggering £60 million on the Argentine forward who has been impressive for Antonio Conte’s side. Barca are also planning to include Arturo Vidal and Nelson Semedo in the deal to land the 22-year-old forward. According to SunSport, the La Liga defending champions are shopping for a long term replacement for Luiz Suarez and the Martinez ticked all the boxes of their prospect.
The Argentina international has scored 11 goals in 21 Italian League appearances so far this campaign.

His partnership with Romelu Lukaku has produced a tremendous result for their side despite sliding to third on the log after 24 matches. It will, however, be difficult for Barcelona to convince the club to allow their man leave especially after watching Mauro Icardi join Paris Saint Germaine last summer. The Sun reports that Lionel Messi is a big admirer of his national teammate and he was quoted to have said of the player in February that he was ‘spectacular’. Messi said: “He is spectacular, he has impressive conditions, he was seen to be a great player, now he exploded and is showing it.

“He is very strong, he has a very good one against one, he has a lot of goals, in the area he fights with anyone, he turns, he looks for it alone. He has a lot of quality and is very complete.
“And Luis [Suarez] also has a lot of experience and could help adapt Lautaro to the club and the league, but they are all assumptions.” Barca signed Martin Braithwaite from Leganes until the summer of 2024 after Suarez and Ousmane Dembele had been ruled out for a long time. He is still not a permanent solution for the club.
Vidal is not new to the Serie A having spent four seasons at Juventus winning four league titles among other domestic trophies in the process.

His return could help Inter achieve their aim, while Samedo could fancy a new challenge in the Italian topflight.
