The Executive Chairman of Jos South Local Government Council, Hon Silas Patrick Dung has expressed displeasure at the attitude of Staff of the Local Government to work.

The Chairman who ordered that the gate of the Council Secretariat be locked by 8:30am on Thursday said it would no longer be “business as usual” and urged employees to justify their pay through hardworking, dedication and efficiency.

Our correspondent Noah Shut reported that some staffs who came late were seen standing in front of the secretariat gate inline with the Chairman’s directive.

The Chairman directed the Director of Personnel Management to issued query letters to the defaulters and the Directors of the various departments file the letters in their files.

He said that his administration will introduced a new biometric system, where the local government staff in Jos South will login two times a day and logout when they closed from work.

He called for attitudinal change among staff, adding that absentism and late coming will not be tolerated.
