Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, The Executive Governor of Plateau State, has reassured the public of his administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
Governor Mutfwang made this known during his declaration regarding the easing of the previously imposed curfew in response to the outbreak of national protests on Sunday in some parts of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state.
He emphasized the government’s dedication to creating a secure environment where residents can live without fear. He highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen security measures, improve community relations, and promote peace across the state.
According to Mr Gyang Bere, The Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor Mutfwang, disclosed that from Wednesday, August 7, 2024, residents of the area can now move freely between the hours of 2pm and 6pm daily until further notice.
Governor Mutfwang praised security agencies for strict compliance with curfew, ensuring vigilance to prevent law and order breakdowns, and assured continued review as situation improves.
The Governor also commended the residents for their patriotism in observing the curfew, noting that their cooperation is vital for the collective interests of the state.
Furthermore, Governor Mutfwang urged residents within the Jos-Bukuru metropolis to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities for prompt action. He assured the public of the government’s unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of all citizens.
