Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has reaffirmed his administration’s steadfast commitment to transforming the fortunes of the state for the benefit and prosperity of its citizens.
Governor Mutfwang made this pledge during a Sunday service at COCIN LCC Garki, RCC Abuja. He expressed hope that 2025 would be a year of glory and excellence for believers, emphasizing that while challenges may persist, victory is assured through God’s guidance.
Reiterating his administration’s goal of rewriting Plateau State’s narrative, the Governor lamented past efforts to tarnish the state’s reputation but proudly asserted that “Jos remains the most peaceful and cleanest city in Northern Nigeria.”
He emphasized his openness to innovative ideas that can drive the state forward, noting that his administration does not claim a monopoly on knowledge.
Reflecting on the success of the 2024 Christmas Carol and Praise Festival, which attracted dignitaries from across the nation, Governor Mutfwang announced plans to make the 2025 edition even more impactful.
“I am confident in facing tomorrow because our future is in God’s hands,” the Governor declared. “The Lord will help us overcome every obstacle. Let us remember that our economy is not dependent on earthly circumstances. God budgeted for your existence before you were born, and your life is no accident.”
Governor Mutfwang expressed profound gratitude to Plateau citizens for their prayers, support, and encouragement. He reiterated his readiness to receive counsel and constructive advice that will enhance the state’s development.
The guest preacher, Elder Yunana Malo, took his scripture reading from Jeremiah 15:16 and delivered a sermon titled “Knowing Christ and the Power of His Resurrection.”
Elder Malo urged believers to immerse themselves in God’s word, highlighting its role as the primary means of communication with God.
“No one can truly submit to God without being grounded in His word,” Elder Malo stated. “The word of God equips us with inspiration, direction, and instruction, addressing every aspect of life. Our victory is assured in Christ Jesus.”
