Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has unveiled a groundbreaking Digital Performance Scorecard System, aimed at enhancing good governance and fostering a conducive business environment across the state.
During the unveiling ceremony on Monday, Governor Mutfwang underscored Plateau’s pioneering status as the second state in the country to introduce this innovative initiative, following the lead of the Federal Government. Emphasizing its significance, he highlighted the system’s pivotal role in promoting progress, efficiency, and accountability within the state’s governance framework.
“The introduction of the Performance Scorecard System signifies our unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective governance,” remarked Governor Mutfwang. “By meticulously tracking the activities of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), this digital platform will enable us to align our policies and programs with the overarching vision and objectives of our administration.”
The establishment of the Strategy and Result Delivery Office (SRDO), entrusted with overseeing the performance system, represents a tangible fulfillment of the administration’s campaign promises, particularly in prioritizing the ease of doing business. This strategic move, Governor Mutfwang noted, will facilitate the identification and resolution of challenges, as well as the monitoring of progress and performance across all MDAs.
“Our objective is to drive transformative excellence and deliver exceptional results,” affirmed Governor Mutfwang. “Through this initiative, we will meticulously monitor and report the performance of MDAs in alignment with our government priorities, thus ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives.”
Governor Mutfwang urged all MDAs to extend their full cooperation and support to the SRDO, stressing the pivotal role of collaboration in achieving the mandate of the performance system.
Engr. Moddibo Samari, Head of SRDO, said the system’s integral role will accelerate the state’s Strategic Development Framework for 2023 to 2027. He emphasized the system’s function as a comprehensive decision support mechanism, geared towards delivering tangible impacts and ensuring optimal resource allocation for the benefit of citizens of the State.
The introduction of the Digital Performance Scorecard System marks a significant milestone in Plateau State’s journey towards accountable and results-driven governance, poised to yield tangible benefits for all stakeholders.
