The Governing Council of Federal University Oye-Ekiti Ekiti State has set up a policy drafting committe for the hitch-free running of the institution at its 35th Council meeting held on Wednesday 19th February, 2025, at the Council Chambers, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Announcing the committee, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba SAN, informed members that the Committee members will work on the following areas:
- Sexual Harassment policy
- Abscondment policy
- Corporate Social Responsibility policy that regulates the relationship between the University and the host community
- Public Engagement Policy
- Social Media Regulations Policy
- and Students lecturers policy.
The Pro-Chancellor called on the Council members, management, teaching, and non teaching staff to give in their maximum support to the committee. This policy committee is the first of its kind since the establishment of the institution.
Recall that the present Council members inherited fifty cases and one hundred and fifty cases of abscondment and has resolved to fix the University to compete with the other institutions in line with world standards.
Members of the policy drafting committee are; Mathews Nganjioga- Chairman, Maxwell Gowon. Esq Member, Professor Joshua, Member, Prof. Bolaji, Member, and the Registrar of the University Mr Mufutau Ibrahim.
This is a bold move by the council to reposition the institution by resolving all pending issues, while setting the institution on the path of progress and unhindered development.
