– Diego Godin is wanted by both Man United and Tottenham managers – Jose Mourinho tried signing the defender when he was the Red Devils boss but failed to reach his goal – The Portuguese born tactician is now ready to make another move for the Uruguayan to bolster his defence Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly joined the chase for the signature of Inter Milan star Diego Godin. The 34-year-old joined the Italian League giants in July 2019 on a free transfer after his contract with the Spanish club expired at the end of last season. According to SunSport, Mourinho made attempts to sign Godin while at United but failed to reach an agreement with the player.
The Portuguese-born tactician is now ready to make another move for the veteran defender who is also wanted by the Red Devils.

Although, Mourinho was said to be upset with Godin after using United’s move to sign an improved deal with Atletico back then. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss is now hoping to lure the player whose contract with Inter expires in the summer of 2022. Meanwhile, with Serie A suspended indefinitely due to the spread of deadly coronavirus, Mourinho is looking to fortify his team believing they can still finish among top teams. The north Londoners have not kept a clean sheet in all of their last eight matches and they have been dumped out of the Champions League already.
