Reports reaching us say that Nigerian pop star Dbanj has lost his infant son, Daniel the Third earlier today.
It is being reported that he reportedly drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s Ikoyi residence. He just turned one year old this past May.
Details of the unfortunate tragedy are still sketchy and as expected, friends and associates of the musician are not forthcoming with information at this moment. Dbanj himself is believed to be in the United States for the BET Awards happening tonight. His most recent post on Instagram seems to confirm the incident, as he writes ‘Trying times, but my God is always and forever faithful.’
The black square seen on his Instagram handle is also replicated on the Whatsapp status of some of his closest friends and partners. Messages sent to his management staff are unanswered at the time of filing this report.

In 2016, Dbanj got married in a private ceremony and only confirmed his marital status when his wife Lineo put to bed in May 2017. Daniel the Third was named after Dbanj and his father.
