Chelsa Football Club have submitted a new bid to Sevilla for its French defender, Jules Kounde ahead of the new season.
Transfer News expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Thursday, July 21st, 2022. According to reports, Chelsea are confident that they will sign the player before the end of the transfer window.
The Blues have submitted a bid of €55 million for the defender and there is no official bid from Barcelona who are also interested in signing Kounde. The manager of Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel has admitted that the Blues need to solidify its defence going into the next season.
The London club lost Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger for free to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Chelsea have signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling.
