In a significant development towards  enhancing the religious worship, prayers and fellowship for people who are called to serve in government and people within the community, The Chapel of Grace and Chaplain, Plateau State Government House stands as a place of inspiration, empowering individuals to embody Godly principles and contribute to flourishing plateau community especially in sound governance.

This chapel aim at promoting unity in Plateau State, embracing its diversity and unlocking God-given prosperity for future generations through dedicated prayers and an appreciation for biblical ideas and concepts.

This prestigious chapel to be an alter of answered prayers, fueled by intercession and sound expository preaching and teaching of scripture. In this we believe that it will inspire godly living through the lives of Plateau citizens.

In light of the difficulties the state and the country are facing, the rededication of the Plateau State Government House Chapel is a painful reminder of the value of spiritual support. Through prayer, solidarity, and a common dedication to faith, the occasion represents hope for a better future grounded in moral principles and social peace.

Reverend Dr. Gideon Para-Mallam emphasised the chapel’s basic values, which include prayer, love, accountability, honesty, compassion, holistic missions, excellence, authentic leadership, and unity of faith.

Special prayers were offered for Plateau State, Nigeria, and the Sahel region by Reverend Dr. Amos Mohzo, President of COCIN; Reverend Dunka Gomwalk, PFN Chairman Plateau State; and Prophet Isa El-Buba, National Vice President PFN North Central. The Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Most Reverend Mathew Ishaya Audu, and the Methodist Bishop of the Jos Diocese, Right Reverend Dr. Nkechi Nwosu, led a special rededication prayer.

Brother Gbile Akanni stressed the significance of allowing God to reside in people’s hearts rather than concentrating only on external structures, drawing inspiration from Psalm 132. “Given Christ the proper place in people’s hearts, God is far more interested in finding habitation in the hearts of men and women,” the speaker said.

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang greeted the visitors warmly at the event, which was attended by high-ranking dignitaries and clergy.

Governor Mutfwang stressed in his speech the importance of harmony among the state’s diverse tribes and denominations. He envisioned the chapel as a symbol of togetherness that would encourage prayer, worship, and Plateau State’s spiritual rehabilitation.

Governor Mutfwang used Ephesians 4:1-5 to appreciate individuals who had previously contributed and to promote teamwork to improve Plateau State. With a sense of hopefulness, he stated, “It’s time to move Plateau ahead, and I think God has designed Plateau to bring Nigeria into the glory that Africa is waiting for.”

The event concluded with goodwill messages from Sen. Jonah Jang, the former governor of Plateau State, the Gbong Gwom Jos, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Polycarp Lubo, CAN Chairman Plateau State, and Reverend Dr. Panya Baba, ECWA President and CAN National Vice President, who dedicated and commissioned the new chaplain, Reverend Benjamin A. Nadabo.
