Black Panther 2, after the demise of Chadwick Boseman, a question of major concern for Marvel is who will play the role of Black Panther in the upcoming movie. Well, I am pretty sure that no one can fill the shoes of Chadwick Boseman for the role. After all, he is known for that role. Then again, the world has to move on. So, here we are, discussing a replacement of the ‘King’.
Who can fill those shoes?
Well, the role certainly demands a man of the Black race, a White man just wouldn’t feel authentic. However, not many of the Black actors would bring that life to the character, moreover, we just wouldn’t be able to accept it. Instead, some might even think T’challa should be given an honored farewell in the movies as well. Like it was done for Paul Walker in the Fast and Furious series.
However, there’s still the question of who would be the next Black Panther. Well, after all, Black Panther has to continue. In 2019 there were theories that Shuri could be the next Black Panther, like in the comics. Perhaps we could see that come true.
However, there’s also a possibility that we can see Chadwick Boseman appear in Black Panther 2 even though it had been in early development stages when he died. With the present age CGI and other great technologies, we can see him in the movie for more than just a cameo. It was done for Paul Walker in Fast and Furious 7.
As far as another face that could hold his legacy is concerned, I guess it should be Will Smith. However, that sounds unlikely as he plays ‘Deadshot’ in the DC movies. Though it wouldn’t be the first time when Marvel has replaced a cast of a character. It was done for Bruce Banner, from Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo.
