The bravery and gallantry of the combined team of the Inspector General of Police ( IRT ) and Operation Safe Haven in neutralizing 6 Fulani terrorists and/or bandits has been highly lauded by the Member Representating Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Abuja, Rep Dachung Bagos has welcomed the development.
“This proactive and responsive development is not only commendable and reassuring but also a sad reminder that Plataau State is still in the books of criminal elements aimed at destabilizing the state at all cost” Hon. Bagos said in a message.
He further reiterated, “Sadly, in the crossfire, we lost two brave men of the Nigeria Police. These Heroes call must not go unnoticed and unrewarded to encourage our security forces that their plight will not end in vainglory.
May their gentle souls rest in peace with the Lord, Amen.”
This victory however, should propel security agencies further, the legislator advises.
“I however want to task the security forces not to relent but continue to pursue the course of a safe and peaceful Plateau State,” he said.
Rep Bagos called on all the youths not to relent in watching out for these criminal elements and to work with security agencies in apprehending them to justice.
It will be recalled that last week, one Likita Abubakar was apprehended with over 200 live ammunition enroute Plateau State.
The six other gang members are still at large and pose serious security threat to the live and properties of all citizens. The security must redouble efforts at apprehending these criminals, according to Hon. Bagos.
