Excitement is building across Plateau State as preparations reach top gear for the De Amazon Road Waka 4.0, a 15-kilometre fitness walk aimed at promoting health, unity, and wellness among residents.
The event, organized by Jennifer Okoye Sports Vibe in collaboration with the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (PLASCHEMA), will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, beginning at 6:00 a.m. from JayFM, beside the National Library, Jos.
Ahead of the main walk, a health seminar was held at Usiju World Event Center, Jos, to sensitize participants on preventive healthcare and the benefits of regular exercise.
Sports enthusiast Onwu King Godspower, popularly known as Emperor, described the upcoming walk as the biggest fitness gathering in Northern Nigeria, promising a blend of fun, sports, and wellness education.
Participants urged arrive early at JayFM by 6:00 a.m., assuring them of a lively atmosphere filled with music, dance, and aerobics as Jos comes alive for the De Amazon Road Waka 4.0.
