The Plateau State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General of the Mutfwang/Josephine/Tinubu Campaign Council, Sir Joseph Ari, FNIPR, at his residence in Jos.

The delegation was led by the Vice Chairman of the chapter, Mr. Sonny Dung, MNIPR. He was accompanied by Council Member, Prof. Sarah Lwahas, members of the executive committee and other senior practitioners.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Dung said they came to identify with Sir Ari on his appointment. He described him as a mentor and thorough professional whose contributions to the growth of NIPR in Plateau and at the national level cannot be overlooked.

Mr. Dung recalled Sir Ari’s impactful service as Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and as a Council Member of NIPR, noting that his commitment to institutional growth has been exemplary.

He also used the opportunity to formally invite Sir Ari to the Joseph Gomwalk Leadership Lecture Series holding on in Jos.

In his response, Sir Joseph Ari thanked the delegation for the visit. He said the campaign council will run on the values of integrity, transparency and proper reputation management.

According to him, the Mutfwang/Piyo campaign will focus on issues and not personalities, which is exactly what the PR profession stands for.

Sir Ari said he values the support of NIPR and will work closely with the Institute to develop strong communication ideas that will help build public trust. He thanked the chapter for their goodwill and confirmed he will attend the leadership lecture.

Earlier, Prof. Sarah Lwahas had delivered a goodwill message from the NIPR Governing Council. She described Sir Ari’s appointment as well deserved and wished him success, assuring him that the Institute will always be ready to support him.
