As political activities commence ahead of the 2027 general elections, the race for the Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Federal Constituency seat in Plateau State is beginning to take shape, with candidates strengthening their campaign structures across the three local government areas.
One of the leading contenders on the platform of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Hon. Barr. Seyilnen Gonten Luzu, has appointed Mr. Joshua Dauda Musa as Director-General of his campaign organisation, ahead of the election.
Luzu announced the appointment on Friday during the unveiling of his grassroots support and contact office at Little Rayfield, Jos, where he also formally presented Musa with his appointment letter.
Musa, who hails from Dengi Ward in Kanam Local Government Area, is expected to coordinate the campaign’s activities and mobilisation across Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam under the ADALCI 2027 Movement for Seyilnen for PKK ’27.
Presenting the appointment letter, Luzu said there was a need to immediately constitute the campaign leadership because of the limited time available before the 2027 elections and the volume of work ahead.
He explained that the formal inauguration of the Director-General and coordinators from the three local government areas would take place soon in Pankshin, where the campaign headquarters would be located.
According to him, the appointment of Musa ahead of the formal inauguration was necessary to enable the campaign organisation commence its activities without further delay.
Luzu said, “Time is not on our side and there is a lot to be done,” stressing the need for the campaign team to begin preparations and grassroots mobilisation immediately.
In his acceptance speech, Musa thanked Luzu for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to serve as Director-General of the campaign organisation.
He pledged to contribute his experience and commitment towards building a strong grassroots campaign structure across the three local government areas, as the ADALCI 2027 Movement intensifies mobilisation for Luzu’s PKK bid.
