The Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), one of Nigeria’s foremost tertiary healthcare institutions, has announced multiple job openings across various medical and administrative departments. The vacancies are open to qualified candidates seeking positions in both consultancy and residency programmes, as well as several other professional cadres.

According to the public notice signed by Mr. Tunji Adegboye, the Director of Administration, on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill positions in different categories including Consultants, Residency Training, and other technical and administrative roles.

Under the Consultant category, openings are available in Restorative Dentistry, Child Oral Health, and Radio-Oncology. Applicants must possess a fellowship of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African Postgraduate Medical College, with a valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption.

The Residency Training Programme is open in fifteen departments, including Anaesthesia, Community Medicine, Chemical Pathology, Family Medicine, Haematology, Internal Medicine, Microbiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Radiology, and Surgery. Applicants are required to present evidence of graduation from an accredited medical school, proof of primary examination in a recognized postgraduate college, full registration with MDCN, and a current practicing license.

For Other Cadres, JUTH is recruiting for positions such as Principal Radiographer II, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Senior Nursing Officer, Pharmacist, Primary Health Care Tutor, Nursing Officer II, Planning Officer II, Information Officer II, Assistant Dental Technologist II, Health Information Management Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Darkroom Technician, and Confidential Secretary III.

Each position specifies particular academic and professional qualifications. For instance, Pharmacist applicants must hold a B.Sc. in Pharmacy and be registered with the Pharmacist Registration Board of Nigeria (PRBN), while Nursing Officers must possess RN/RM certification and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
