Senator Simon Mwadkwon PhD, Former Senate Minority Leader of the Tenth Senate, has condemned the terrorist attacks in Daffo, Manguna, Murwi, and other communities in Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area, which resulted in gruesome murders, brutal injuries, and property destruction.
Senator Mwadkwon emphasized that the coordinated attacks by well-armed militias pose a significant threat to national security, necessitating more proactive measures from security agencies.
He commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State and President Bola Tinubu for their proactive efforts in addressing the humanitarian crisis. He urged for increased humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the affected people.
While commending the security agencies’ efforts to stabilize the situation, he directed them to track down the attackers and ensure they are brought to justice, serving as a deterrent to others.
He underscored the importance of unity among the State’s citizens to address the security challenges confronting the State and the Nation.
He extended sympathies to the families of the deceased, wished for a speedy recovery for the injured, and called for enhanced security vigilance at all times. He also prayed for the reestablishment of peace in the affected communities.
