JOS – Plateau State Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has promised the people of his state that his administration will structure all economic and infrastructural projects to benefit Plateau people if entrusted with the mandate to lead the state in 2023.

Mutfwang disclosed this at the weekend during a programme on JayFm in Jos.

According to him, he will prioritize security of lives and properties by providing an all inclusive leadership anchored on the principles of justice, fairness and equity for the prosperity of all citizens.

“I can assure Plateau people that when we come into government, there will be justice, there will be equity and there will be fairness to all. We will carry everybody along through inclusive governance, where the people will be direct beneficiaries of all developmental programmes.”

He described the Jos Main Market controversy as unfortunate and said there is a court injunction that puts on hold the contract until there is proper and genuine consultation with Plateau people.

“Government did not think through the project very well, the economics of the project has not been well thought through, the legal structure of the agreement is also not sound and the whole arrengement was not structured to benefit Plateau people.” He stated.

Mutfwang expressed commitment towards bringing to bear his wealth of experience and expertise in turning around the fortunes of Plateau to the advantage and well being of the citizens.

“I will shop for the best brains and people who have requisite knowledge in different fields of endeavor form Plateau who will complement my effort in solving problems that confront the state, I believe that Plateau problem can be solved and will be solved by the grace of God.”

Mutfwang explained that he has commenced consultations with reputable investors who have also assured the state of their commitment to making Plateau a supplier of electricity.

“I have started talking with some private investors who are developing solar power and they have assured us that they will come to Plateau if the environment is good. I will venture into activities i know will be benefit Plateau, I don’t make promise and fail, I am putting my integrity on the line because I am a promise keeper.

“When Plateau gets power rightly, industrialization becomes possible. We will partner with investors who will revive our industries and the only way to attract them is by providing security in the state and ensure stable power supply.

“Plateau has the capacity to contribute power to the national grid, we will make Plateau a hub of power supply, we have the advantage and capacity, this is because we have the National grid and the NESCO grid; we will make sure that businesses strive in Plateau again.”

He reiterated his commitment towards ensuring that Plateau becomes an attractive state in Nigeria for people to come and live and do legitimate business to boost the state’s economy.
